The Live Fierce Award recognizes those who LIVE FIERCE for themselves, their loved ones, their community – a catalyst for longer, healthier lives for everyone, everywhere.
The most recent science reports revealed that heart disease and stroke could affect at least 60% of adults in the U.S. by 2050. By encouraging and empowering our community to embrace a healthier lifestyle, we can make the necessary shift to prevent much of this.
The American Heart Association and The Standard want to recognize the meaningful impact of a LIVE FIERCE Award recipient for contributions in Reducing Your Risk. This individual is someone who embraces and inspires others to live a heart-healthy lifestyle – from monitoring their blood pressure, prioritizing physical activity and following a nutritious diet – they serve as encouragement to others to live longer, healthier-lives.
Nominations for the LIVE FIERCE Award can be submitted by friends, co-workers or relatives, and individuals can nominate themselves. Winners will be chosen by a volunteer committee.
